Can Changing Your Lifestyle Improve Your Overall Health?
My story begins as a child, battling with many different health issues that doctors couldn’t quite understand. Some conditions I struggled to live with were diverticulosis, multiple collapsed lungs, anxiety and many others. My body reached its breaking point in 2015 after being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Autoimmune Disease, a condition that affects your thyroid gland. As time went on, my thyroid condition became a huge limitation. I was told that I had to be on thyroid medication for the rest of my life.
Up until that moment, I was very naive but this changed everything. Before being diagnosed, I ate very sporadically, never worrying what I put into my body. I think back to my college days of going to the store to pick up tons of sweet snacks (donuts and brownies being my favorite) and many processed packaged foods. I thought I was getting so much for my dollar and was able to eat a lot more on a cheap budget. I was not realizing what I was putting in my body was actually poisoning my body.
After I hit my breaking point, dealing with so many symptoms from my thyroid condition, I started doing a tremendous amount of research on healing the body naturally. I knew the pill that I was taking everyday was not helping me the way the doctor said it would. After a year of constant research, I realized the food you eat and products you put on your body play an essential role in our survival and quality of life. This led me to completely changing my lifestyle. It was like re-learning how to live all over again. Everything I was taught had to be erased from my memory and re-learned. One year after my lifestyle change, I removed my thyroid medication and have been feeling more like my true self again.
Everything Happens For A Reason
They say everything happens for a reason and my diagnosis led me to believe it happened because I am meant to help others. This website is for me to provide information, which I have learned from experiences with my own health issues, that can greatly benefit other people.
With my education to be a Holistic Practitioner, I have been learning in depth about essential oils, detoxification, herbs, Chinese medicines, energy healing, iridology, muscle testing and much more. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I want to pass on all the information I have gained throughout my journey, so people could learn from my mistakes, and prevent sickness that can happen if you don’t take care of your mind, body and soul.
